Hi guys,

I bought a second hand palit GTX 1060 a few months ago and it has been working perfectly so far, except for today, was playing some fortnite and was getting between 20-30 FPS as apposed to my normal 50 - 60,

Thought it maybe a coincindence as my pc has been off for a couple days, but when i went to play overwatch an hour or so after, the same thing 20 - 30 fps instead of 60,

I tried turning the graphics settings to medium but that doesnt seem to help,

any idea what could be causing this,

Thanks,

BisquTz

Is it thermal throttling?

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

hi there

make sure u check ur power management and set it to high performance if u using windows because if u using balance mode

and check nvidia game booster in nvdia experience sometimes its turn off and on u can do it manually

last u go nvidia setting and u go in global setting set it to high performance but some game i think is diffrent fps

u can try best performance or quality

hope u can find more fps

and dont forget to use hdmi interface from ur gtx 1060 to ur monitor because nvidia and support at least 60-120 fps

thats all i know
