Hi Guys,

So I have a HTC 10 trouble was I had forgotten the passcode so the phone got encrypted i then remembered the password there phone should then decrypt and become usable again however i think something got corrupted as i get this screen when i type the correct code.

Okay so you'd think no big deal right just press reset phone and let it do its thing and your phone works again, not that simple the phone doesn't seem to be able to do anything in the fast boot menus and when you try to boot to recovery it says that it failed to boot. also i don't seem to be able to mount it via usb cable on any computer to wipe it from the computer its not detected in any mode. If anyone has any thoughts how i can factory reset the phone so its usable again please help.

"This build is for development purposes only. Do not distribute outside of HTC without HTC's written permission."

Is... that a normal message on HTC bootloaders?

My only recommendation at this point would be to send it to HTC but if it has a leaked internal build on it of some kind they might not be willing to fix it.

Thats what it says when you unlock the bootloader i don't really want to send it to HTC as its out of warranty and so it will cost my a lot of money if it comes to it i could buy one of these phones off eBay for £200 ish

Can you flash the phone from a recovery image if you put it on the SD card? I haven't had experience with this in a long time, but I know I was able to do this on my Xperia Z series phones.

Surely if you've already unlocked the bootloader, any compatible ROM could work? You could always get it up and running first and then find the stock rom later if you think it'll be an issue.

Was just going to say, XDA Developers would be your best bet at this point.

I am in the same situation as you with my Tab 2.....tried all that you tried. Did you check both fastboot devices and adb devices. Sometimes it will see fastboot devices but, not adb devices.

THE PIT VIPER SPECS
