Hello everyone. My computer:

Gigabyte GA-Z77M

i5 3750K

1x GTX 970 G1 Gaming

4GB Ram DDR3

2x HDD (1x 1TB and 1x 500GB)

Cougar GX 800w

Ultrawide Monitor 2560x1080

Windows 10

and it started giving up, first it was 2 ram slots, then the BIOS wouldn't work, and now one more ram slot stopped working, which left me with only 4gb of ram max. I didn't find any compatible mobo where I live (Brazil), so I want to upgrade it.

I play games, edit videos and also am a game designer, that's why I think Ryzen 5 will be more suitable. I dont have a big budget and am in doubt between motherboards. I will list all the parts I'm thinking of getting:

AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.4GHz

HyperX FURY 8GB 2400Mhz DDR4

GA-AB350M-Gaming 3 / PRIME B350M-A

GA-AB350M-Gaming 3 cost around 35$ more.

Is it a good build?  Which Motherboard should I get?

Thanks in advance.

Are you certain your power supply is good? A failing power supply can cause all manner of problems...

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

It's new and I tested everything, I'm sure it is ok.

Yes, I play to OC in the future if needed.

That 1 stick of memory? Ryzen loves high bandwidth on its RAM, so use kits with multiple sticks at least, and go after high frequency ones if budget allows.

Both motherboard are kinda bad, though the Prime B350M-A is even worse (Mosfets overheating problems on both boards). While the Gaming 3 should be fine with a CPU at stock speeds with its small VRM heatsink, the B350M-A is likely to not do it. There is no heatsink at all

Get a better motherboard then. Those are both so-so b350 boards.

See if you can find a pro4, prime plus, or b350-f gaming.
