When trying to play Crash twinsanity I get a dark shade bar stopping me from seeing in front of me clearly

I'm using psx 2 and trying to play Crash Twinsanity but there is a dark shaded bar only a few meters away from were ever I look making it hard to see far in front.

How do I get rid of this?

First you need to determine where the thing comes from.  Is the problem caused by you monitor or is it caused by the psx2?  Try switching monitors with something you know is good to check and see if the problem still exists.  If it does, then the problem is with the psx2, if not, then the problem is with the monitor.  After doing this little test, let us know what you find out.
