Humming fans

Carbide X

Okay so a week ago i complained that my fans were making this humming/vibrating sound.

So i RMA'd them and the seller claimed that they give me new fans but theyre still making this sound.

Are these fans just crappy or did they lie and gave me my own fans back ?

Does it have a good beat?

J/K. Are you certain they are level? Off the plane could cause that

Um because we didn't see original or even know what Fans your talking about noone can answer this. Did you reduce the fan speeds in cmos/bios/ufie as all fans are loud at max

Assuming that you didn't plug them into molex (lol), try going into your BIOS and try to see if your on DC or PWM mode, if your fan is 3pins, set it to DC, if your fan has 4 pins, set it to PWM mode.

I did google it. but that doesn't tel much on your mounting schema. BTW they are 4-pin so they are PWM is your mobo set to PWM on fan control

Do you have rubber washers on the screws? I can't tell. If not try some it maybe a metal to metal vibration noise

@Carbide X

Also did you have a rubber like finish on the fans that are touching the RAD. I have a corsair H100i that had the same issue and putting rubber spacer around fans that touched the RAD resolved it on that system. Also set you bios fan headers to PWM and set the case fans min norm max settings. I suggest not more than 90% for max as it will not help much and create a ton of vibration noise.

No i dont, but i highly doubt its a metal to metal noise since i used one of my brothers case fans (nzxt s340 case fans) to use for my cooler since i didnt have my fans for those 3 days and it didnt make any weird noises

Looking on google image at the nzxt s340 case fan the screw holes have a rubber finish to prevent vibration. but hell test the theory. turn it on and put extra pressure via hand on fans if sound lessens or stops you need rubber fitting

Had the exact same issue with the Coolermaster MA610P (same fan model): Put some WD40 in the rotor, dried it with an Air-can and let it dry for a few more days. Puff, Problem gone. Even at max. speed ye don't hear it anymore
