Hi,
I recently bought my new pc parts and built the pc myself, 8700k and palit superjetstream 1080ti and have attempted to overclock both (8700k on water). The 8700k overclocked fine to 4.9 stable and i thought i overclocked the 1080ti to 2000mhz but in both evga xoc and palits' own software it says it is still on stock clock speeds but in unigine valley benchmark it registers the overclock with it being at 1999mhz and if i try to apply a moderate 100mhz overclock unigine crashes which leaves me to believe the overclock is on just not registering in either software.

Don't look at what Unigine Valley Benchmark tells you about the overclock. Go into a program like MSI Afterburner and see the clock speed for yourself.

yes just now i had GPUZ running and that confirmed what Valley Benchmark was saying

Only use GPU-Z for any sort of GPU clock reporting. Also only use CPU-Z for any sort of CPU clock speed reporting.

There's more info on the sensors tab such as current, max, min, average clock.

There's also the chance that Valley is being inaccurate which wouldn't be a surprise.

Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example.
