If you're adamant on the 2600, then I suggest a masterlite 240 if it fits. It's cheap enough, and offers great performance. Alternatively, the ML120 if space is low. Maybe a custom loop if the money isn't an issue?

IMO, I think going up to a Ryzen 7 , saving on the water cooling and getting a hyper 212 is the better option. That'll still let you get a respectable overclock, with an extra 2c/4t.

It’s my first gaming rig and I already have the Ryzen 2600 in hand. It doesn’t necessarily have to be liquid cooling I guess I would want something that would keep the CPU cool enough to be OC’d. I’ve been trying to do some research and everything on YouTube seems to be liquid cooled.

liquid is the better looking option in my opinion, but large heatsinks like the Dark Rock Pro 4 perform just as well.

imo i would go for a big heatsink, as then you're not setting up pump speeds and fan curves for the rad, tough if you need water then a X62 or a H100i will work very nicely.

Youtubers are generally muppets. They are usually sponsored by the manufacturers anyway. Just checked, its a 65w TDP processor. You could overclock that thing with an origami heatsink. You'd be ok with any cooler, including the stock cooler. Go with whatever fits your price, and is better than stock.

Bro, its a 65w cpu, on 12nm. This isn't the 9590...

This isn't an FX 9000, you don't need the entire U.S. supply of copper to keep it cool this time.

The only reason I’m asking is because I’ve been reading that it gets too hot with the wraith cooler it comes with when it’s overclocked and want to see my options

What Überdude said, you'll be good with an air cooler, consider a Dark Rock TF is rated for 220W even being low profile and your CPU is only 65W, this

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=13C-001F-00005

Will be more than enough (or a 212)

ASUS X470-PRO • R7 1700 4GHz • Corsair H110i GT P/P • 2x MSI RX 480 8G • Corsair DP 2x8 @3466 • EVGA 750 G2 • Corsair 730T • Crucial MX500 250GB • WD 4TB

You can see how it performs before deciding on whether or not to replace it.
