Motherboard Recommendations?

Hi all, 

 

I'm about to go place in my order for my new gaming build parts and have had a moment of last minute hesitation in terms of the motherboard. 

 

My planned build is: 

 

CPU: Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz 6-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: NZXT - Kraken X62 Rev 2 98.2 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus - ROG MAXIMUS X HERO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
Storage: Samsung - 970 Evo 250GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive
Video Card: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB SC2 Video Card
Case: NZXT - S340 Elite (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case

Is there better motherboards out there for cheaper? I'm intending to delid the 8700k and eventually overclock her. 

 

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

can't get more for less, but you can get a bit less for much less
