I just bought a Lenovo IdeaPad 320, i5 8th gen, 2gb Mx150 , 8gb Ram , 1tb storage.

It's my first personal laptop also I thought I would start light and casual gaming but the graphics just won't work I tried reinstalling the drivers, directly plugging it through the adapter, putting it on max performance mode, setting the graphics to Nvidia card. But nothing... I saw guys on YouTube with way more fps but at my side games are unplayable. I am new to this Gamers World, help me guys

P.s I'm running 8.1 win , it's constantly stuck into my head that is some problem of windows?

They released 2 GPUs by that same name and you appear to have gotten the wimpy one, that card was never very powerful but the original one is about 50% more powerful.

1, how can I check that I have gotten the worse of the 2 cards ?

2, Nvidia Graphics Activity is always none in the bar! No matter what application or game I use ?

Also the reason I got 8.1 win is because Nvidia drivers just won't install in win10 at that time

GPU Z, It should tell you the wattage of the MX150. If its 15W then you got gimped by Nvidia :(

Ok,Now taken matters more seriously !

I checked some forum and found that the problem I had installing Nvidia drivers on win10 was because of win version

Also I was right when I thought Graphics Card isn't being utilized !

But now what I have to do peeps?

8.1 or 10 does not matter, performance between them is only marginally different.

What is the clock speed reported by GPU-Z for your GPU?

Also, make sure your NVidia control panel looks something like this...

If you its set to maximum power savings by default the GPU will not be used.  Also, there is likely an option in the UEFI to disable the discrete GPU.
