Laptop can't detect battery

I bought a ROG gl752vw (full specs here, I got the i7 version) about 18months ago. I'm very pleased with it, however last month it started showing that it's battery is always at 0%, even while charging. I thought the battery died, so I bought a replacement on ebay, but this didn't solve the problem. Last week the battery icon changed from "0% charging" to "no battery detected". Anyone have any clues as to what could be causing the issue? I'm not even sure if this is software or hardware related.

Probably the connector between the battery and the motherboard is dead or damaged in some way. I'd recommend taking either contacting ASUS if it's still under warranty or if not take it a repair shop to get a quote.

It's not under warranty, but I will take it to a repair shop I guess. Cheers!
