Rasppery issue boot power on

mistereudk

I havent been using my rasperry for a month or maybe longer, the sd card i had i havent been able to find it, for some reason,

i wanted  to format it so i could make a new installation.

With that being said, i got a card from a friend who bought this card from china, could the reason be that it the card it selv is in an adapter,

since it wont boot when i put the adapter in the pi with the sd card in it ?.'

with out the adapter the card would be used on a phone.  i am not sure what you call the small cards for phones.

any advices ?.

Well, I think there would be no problem booting from MicroSD through the adapter. Have you tested the card on a PC, and is the OS install your own, or is it an old OS-image? I would suggest trying to re-install the OS on the MicroSD card, using your PC, and downloading the OS from Rasberry PI's home page.

PS. maybe move the thread to this forum? https://linustechtips.com/main/forum/86-linux-macos-and-everything-not-windows/

You could also try to boot with a OS image on a USB stick, not sure if it wil work with your model.

According to the Raspberry PI FAQ (https://www.raspberrypi.org/help/faqs/),

The latest firmware/software, however, allows booting to be set up without an SD card, for example from a USB stick or other mass storage device.

If that doesn't work, please check if your status lights can give you any clue to what the issues may be. Also, may I ask you what Raspberry PI model you've got?
