Considering buying AirPods for an Android phone

Crushaderdk

Hey everyone. I am currently considering buying Apple Airpods for my Galaxy S7. This is because I want something wireless that I am familiar with, and I am currently using the Apple earpods so it seems natural to purchase the Airpods. However I am a bit worried about the price and that it doesn't have the same features as if I had an iPhone. Does anybody have experience with Airpods? Thanks in advance.

Quite a big part of why the Airpods are good is due to how well they link with other Apple devices. Pairing them with an Android device basically just turns them into a standard pair of Bluetooth earphones that are expensive and white.

I'd suggest looking at alternatives for Android rather than spending more for features you can't use.

Unless you're planning on getting an iPhone in the future, it's a terrible purchase. You buy Airpods because of the features when paired with an iPhone. In terms of sound quality, they're not overly amazing.

I love mine but I use them with an iPhone, I can’t see them being as convenient with android phones simply because of the pairing process. Android just doesn’t have it sorted out as well yet
