Hey guy's

I want to buy a new phone, preferably android but since there are a lot of android based phones out there i am kinda having a hard time choosing between Samsung, htc, nexus, lg etc.

i am not a smartphone geek as much as a computer one but i am kind of leaning toward's the HTC one, but i haven't used any of the other phone's for an extended amount of time, so i thought i'd ask before committing my self :P

p.s: i listen to music for hours and use some social networking from time to time. not much of a heavy user.

sorry if i missed any thing, just ask and i'll be happy to reply

I Listen. i Observe. I Learn. I make my own decision

Htc one is great but if you can wait a few months there might be a new one.

I have both the HTC One and the Nexus 5

HTC One:

- Premium build quality

- Sense skin on Android, it's actually very nice to be honest, light and classy

- Blinkfeed, it's damn useful

- Front facing speakers, they used to be uber loud, then HTC lowered the max volume by about 40% out of safety reasons (blowing their speakers) they are however still the master in sound clarity compared to the N5

- Good screen with outstanding colors, blacks are blacker than on the N5

- Quite nice is the HTC Zoe feature too.

- Camera is alright and does indeed perform better in low light.

Nexus 5:

- Imo has the better keyboard with stock Android

- Sound quality is still good, clarity under the One by a tiny amount

- Slightly snappier than the One, though not noticeable if not tested side  by side like I did! Logical though, N5 has a newer and more power CPU

- Excellent IPS screen, color might be a bit better on the One! But nothing to worry about

- Latest updates from Google directly

- Very cheap for such a good phone

- Minimalistic yet nice design, the soft touch back feels incredible.

- Camera is OK, , though shutter speed is somewhat slow.

So really you will be good with either one.

HTC One. The CPU/GPU difference isn't noticeable, but every time you pick up your phone, you will feel the build quality of the One. The huge internal NAND memory is also very fast and makes the phone more responsive than most phones with faster chips but only a few Gb of actually fast NAND flash.
