It will run but very very slowly. Is it possible to downgrade the OS? If not, you can cut some corners like playing music from a phone to the car through an AUX cable.

You can run google maps but that's the only app that can be running, otherwise it will run very slowly.

hi.

It'll run slower than a squashed snail uphill and most likely it will crash like a nascar driver trying to take a right turn

1 GB of RAM is probably fine for Maps and music. Not much more though, and Android itself is pretty heavy. Can you get Android GO on the thing?

I have no idea if i will be able to root it i've seen custom roms for such devices but i don't know. I don't think i will be doing much multitasking in my car while driving so if it can run music and maps it will be good enough. i have seen phones like moto c and owned a moto g with 1gb ram(sd400) that ran pretty smooth on nougat

Got some more specs to judge by

Cortex A7 based quad core CPU 1.2ghz

1024x800 screen

More specific build is 7.1.1

That sounds a lot like my ching chong tablet and I can tell ya it's complete and utterly useless. Can't do anything on it and the fact that it has 8 gigs of storage makes it even more unusable (android takes up like 6 gigs and BASIC applications can't even update since it's already filled up)

This would be seriously a good candidate for Android GO.

I think "useless" is a bit of a stretch though. Maps isn't particularly hungry so long as you aren't using satellite imagery. Music playback is also an especially easy task on much weaker hardware, so long as you can use a flash drive or some other expansion to hold the music.

It isn't as though one needs to run a browser on a car stereo.
