Yeah its a basic unbranded OEM PSU.  It could be the issue but id recommend watching the cpu temperature first.

at 53.8°C on with several programs in the bg

53.8*c is okish but bare in mind if ur gonna game then temperature is gonna rise and may push it to its thermal limit causing the system to switch off.

 

on my old 8370*c although it stated they could work into the mid 80*c i didnt like my chip hitting 60*c.

so i should invest in better cooling right but why now ??? I never had such shutdowns  in 2 years or should i put on new thermal paste ?

u could get a better fan mate and also some good thermal paste to.

 

If your unsure how to change id recommend taking to someone else who knows.

And could a second Monitor could potentially affect the Video Card and by the power drained from the power supply ?

it would put a greater drawer on the PSU but not by much to be honest and i still think the issue is more thermal than psu based here.

And my last question does the gtx 1050 ti fits on my Mainboard because I was honestly scared if it might not match

Yes just take out old card and plug in new one to the PCI-E port.

 

Make sure to plug in your power cable from PSU to Video card also, mine has a 6 pin connector for example.

I'm might be a newb but that should'nt be a barrier i was just confused by all those PCI-e 3.0 on Amazon titles and my Mainboard said "Nope just PCI-e 2.0"

Sorry for bothering but does Free Sync works with a Nividia Graphic Card when it is only dedicated to AMD ones ?

The monitor will work just fine just not use that setting on the monitor.

to be honest im not a huge gamer, my pc is mainly for content creation such as video and photo work.

 

I do like startrek online tho.

However it does say it *supports* 8 core CPUs, so I guess by supports it means gets so hot it thermally throttles

OP just needs to grab a fx-6300 or better yet a 6350 toss a H212 on it... and push it to 4.4-4.6 ghz. It won't completely remove the bottleneck (even though sites like the bottlenecker say it will), but it will make it low enough it doesn't hamper game play.

 

The 6350 can be found for around 40-60 used on ebay. The 6300 can be found for 20-40ish. The 6300 will overclock to similar levels as the 6350... so it is probably the better choice budget wise.

 

Now you just need to toss on a mid range cooler like an h212 or H7 (if it supports the socket)
