upgradeable laptops

Is there a upgradeable laptop with desktop type stuff? (Ram,graphics card, processor, etc.) or possible a case mod for a small desktop where you can add a foldable screen and keyboard?

Partially upgradable laptops have been kind of a thing for a long time, but the truth is, there isn't a market for them. 99.5% of laptop purchases never even get opened unless there's a fault.

Some laptops in the past shipped with MXM gpu's, which were super expensive but theoretically upgradeable. Some laptops ship with socketed instead of soldered CPU's, which can sometimes also be upgraded. Ram and storage are almost universally upgradeable except in super lightweight machines.

For the 0.5% of people who ever choose to upgrade their laptop, almost all of them are going to swap out the RAM or storage, so that's pretty much how the market has developed.

As for modding a small desktop, I see no reason why this wouldn't be possible. Most laptop and SFF panels use eDP which is convertible to regular Display Port with an adapter. If you added a touchscreen to a small form factor pc you could ignore the keyboard entirely, or get a Bluetooth keyboard. Lots of options if you decide to build your own, so long as you're handy with a Dremel and don't mind potentially ruining some hardware to get exactly what you want.
