Keyboard not working on pc

Hi

 

I have purchased a new pc today and i'm having trouble finding out why my corsair k70 rgb worked on my old pc, my mothers laptop but doesn't work on my new pc whereas my corsair mouse does and the temporary cheap HP keyboard i am currently using does work on it. Once plugged in the backlight will either stay on but keys cant be pressed or the backlight will just be off

 

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated thank you
