What are your thoughts on this Console killer class rig I created in direct competition for the Xbox One:

I suppose it could be called a large Steam Box

Link is fixed!

For that Mouse/Keyboard combo I need help finding something like this:

Wow that's a long link :D - Fixed that for you (http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h19/Mustang_Warbird/kyb-toughball3.jpg). You should probably click the "view image" button on google images next time.

I want something with a trackball + Keyboard  so that the standard mouse button options are available to one hand very fast (for gaming)  I already have a similar item which is perfect in everything BUT the right hand only has left mouse button which, as you can imagine is limiting.

That keyboard looks like a console controller from the 70s. Why do you want a keyboard with a track ball + mouse buttons? My head is already aching from input lag and poor quality.

Unlike most gamers I like the trackball and use one which you role the ball on your thumb.  the ones in the center of everything are stupid.  I allows for smaller spaces even and dosen't require a pad to move on.  This will be perfect for couch gaming (Lots of wireless options too)

Why does your head ache from input lag?    If the wireless thing hurts that then whats different between it and a Console Controller?

What does quality mean for a keybaord?

Show me a console controller from the 70s that looks like it :D

I didn't know about that view image thing though thanks for revealing that, was always wondering how people could insert images :)

You can click that little image button when you post to wrap urls in img tags (has to be a direct image url).

If you can find a decent quality keyboard that won't limit your gaming experience, go for it. I definitely don't recommend it even if you want to couch game (buy a really good chair instead of a couch :)). But really, get what pleases you. I just don't see it being very good (which is why I asked). Input lag is like, the mother of all bad things when I game, and my experience with wireless keyboards/mice has always been sour but the last time I used one was mid 2000s. Maybe now it's not as much of a problem. As for the controller vs wireless keyboard thing, they're built differently but I really wouldn't know for sure on all that.

What's your budget on the keyboard?

Mouse 'n' ball keyboard combo - $135 http://www.amazon.com/Calrad-95-1072RF-xLobby-Wireless-Keyboard/dp/B0064R1OSK/

Looks exactly like the image you provided but it's probably way higher quality (keys look alright, unlike the other board).

2nd one, $81~ http://www.amazon.com/Adesso-2LL7064-WKB-3000U-Keyboard/dp/B00CF73ESQ/

A lot of people complaining about the quality of this board, but there's like 3 different versions and many different vendors. This one has the most/best ratings and I recognize the name. There's also a "mini" version of it, but I don't know the size of either of these. The older version that's discontinued was apparently one of the better trackball keyboards as well.

Those two seem ok, but read reviews and check prices on amazon before going with anything. You could see if Newegg or some other place also has some, but yeah. Hopefully that helps.

I already have a similar option for the first one and this is my issue:

xlobby-rf-keyboards-1.jpg

This is why it's unusable for gaming.  But yes, gaming on a chair is an excellent idea :D  You could even get one of those....  trays?  to set your keyboard and mouse on ;)  I like my mouse the main reason we're talking is this is to compete with a console and this just happens to be...  the controller :)
