Do Programmes work from external HDDs

My question is, do Programmes supposed to work from external storage devices in my PCs even though they were initially installed using some other PC. ?

WHat os? Normally they won't work if installed on a anouther os as the install puts things in the reigstry that are needed to make it run.

Unless the software requires some kind of activation, Windows nor the application really cares if it was "installed."

 

So yes, you can generally run applications off an external hard drive. The caveat of course is the data usually doesn't carry across computers and if it's the first time that app is run on another machine, it'll need to be reconfigured.
