Editing PC £700

Hi so i am planning a new pc build and i have a rough idea of what i want but i'm unsure about some parts

Spec:

If anyone has any suggestions they will be more than welcome.

Its main use will be video editing and i will most likely be using DaVinci Ressolve.

I will be using windows 10 home as the os.

That looks fairly decent. You'll want to get some intake fans for the front of the S340 though.

Also be patient.  Moving files on and off that HDD will take a little time, but with your budget you are kinda stuck.

I'm probably going to get an ssd in the future to speed file transfers and to have my editing software installed on.

nah, just take the 2 exhaust fans that are installed and move them to the front. they work really good

Sure, that would work. But the lack of exhaust fans may cause some problems.

Is there much point in my going for the 1700 or should i go down to the ryzen 5 1600 and spend the money on a better gpu?

I would say better motherboard, Fatal1ty is one of the best B350 out there.
