General tasks, not so much. You'd notice the mouse moving much smoother, and dragging windows about but that's about it. 

 

Gaming, you'd only notice a difference if you are running fps above 60, by a decent margin. I start to notice a big difference around 80 fps, then a bit more at around 100, and then diminishing returns after that. if you saw 2 rigs side by side one running 60fps on 60hz and the other running 144fps at 144hz you'd notice it quite a bit, it's like buttery smooth compared to 60hz.

 

Best way to help envision it so I found, for those that can't get access to a 144hz monitor to test it out, result may vary. it's kinda like the difference between playing a game at 60hz, and watching something already rendered at 60 fps, it's a hell of a lot smoother.

Prolly the best thing ive ever done. Well worth it to me, couldn't ever go back. 

I only play fps games so it matters a lot to me.

I agree with this. GSYNC 144/180hz for me is the best upgrade I've made to my setup
