Taking over pc

Hi everyone,

My grandpa has problems with his pc. Since I do not live nearby I'm not able to help him. Is there any program by which I can 'take over' his pc from my own pc? I mean that I can control the mice and keyboard and see the monitor.

Maybe it's good to know that he has an older version of windows (xp or 7 I think). If it isn't possible for him to install it himself (with my help on the phone) I can install it myself the next time I see him.

Thanks!

Teamviewer. Works on XP still. Have him download it and tell you the ID and password when it's installed and running. You can even set it to run with Windows startup with a set ID and custom password.

Write those numbers down ;)

Windows has its own remote desktop feature. Needs to be setup, but should be enough for troubleshooting.
