The best mATX z370 in the market is the Asus ROG Strix-G... I don't find overclocking the i7 8700k worth it as the gains are near zero compared to its stock performance specially as we're still in a world of GPU bottlenecks so personally I went with the locked i7 8700 and I leave it locked at 4.4ghz all cores.

This way I saved up money with a cheaper motherboard (the cheapest mATX z370 I could find) just for memory overclocking which is good... and cheaper cooling and cheaper CPU for the matter... well my point is you can save a lot and have 90% of the performance...
