GPU not using all of its ram :/

i have Gigabyte gtx 1070 gaming g1 8Gb .. so i ran Unigine Valley benchmark but it showed 4gb of ram used why is that? :/

because it will only need to use 4GB to run the benchmark. if you run a heavier benchmark or on a higher resolution you should see the VRAM usage go up.

thats fine. GPUs wont use up all their ram 99.999999999% of the time. If they do, then offload to system RAM which is much slower comparatively.

Continuing on what other people are saying, it would actually be more concerning if it was always using all of its available RAM
