@dizmo Well our current build including the RX560 already comes to 1600 NZD which is 1120USD, the cheapest 970 in NZ would raise that price to 1850 NZD which is 1300 USD. His budget is maxiumum 1700 NZD... soo its not really on the cards.

A used 970 is 450 NZD?

A used 970 is only $300 NZD, which would raise the price to 1700, although its a blatant upgrade for only $100 dollars more, it is out of budget, and the RX560 will be fully adequate for what he needs.

Your math doesn't make sense.

Build with RX560 - $1,600. So, $1,400 without.

Add GTX 970 at $300. $1,700, equal to the budget.

Yeah... No.

 

As I said earlier, Cities is likely poorly optimized for AMD over NVIDIA. I can barely load it on my 370, and it's always pinned at 99%.

JDE: Your not helping, and im 99% sure it can run CS 1080P mid graphics 60fps

Would a 1050 Ti outperform an RX560, But more importantly is the extra performance worth the price rise?

You said the RX560 was $194. Which is the same price as a 1050Ti.
