Building my first PC, all components are together, things are looking promising for the final assembling. However, I'm a little mystified by the front I/O, particularly the connectors for power, reset and attendant LEDs. I've worked out which is the USB and the audio, but not necessarily which is for the mic and which is for the headphones, but would like confirmation before I go shorting out a nice Asus Strix motherboard, Ryzen 5 processor and Corsair Vengeance RAM I got as a package. Any tips would be appreciated.

The audio jack's have a single plug for both. HD Audio. If the case has an AC97 connector, ignore it.

The connectors for the IO and LEDs are labelled, and the manual for the motherboard will have a diagram to show which connector plugs into where.

is having the cables bare in the open safe like that wont you get zapped

Can't get zapped when there's no power... But I'd agree, unfortunately it's a €40 Chinese knock-off of a BeQuiet case. This whole thing was to be put together for as little as possible. And to be fair, it's a desktop for my Mom who just wants a productivity machine.

Thank you.
