I don't know why your updating, 570 are pretty recent ?

Have you tried to update your BIOS UEFI ect, I'd imagine that whats wrong

I checked that, I am running the latest bios. (10 points to you sir, because my motherboard was complaining about vga output devices once I put my 570 back in.)

As for the new card....where I live it gets hot (50C), and I don't have AC.

I run a pre-release motherboard, that is very very picky about what it wants to work with. In this case, the bios doesn't know how to turn the 7870 into a display output device. But hey, at least I got my motherboard $100 cheaper!

XFX cards aren't know for running cool. Even if it is a calm, quiet 7870.

You could of bought an AC with the 7870 money o.O

I still live with my parents, can't....though trust me, beyond just the swamp cooler, I would have to also redo all the duct work, which would probably cost more then my entire computer.....

If it throwing up complaints about the 570, try cleaning your pcix contacts and see if that works, it worth a try.

You can buy sprays that will clean contacts. copper and air don't mix well, I have to clean contacts on my DJ mixer regular

Its the 7870's that not working right with my motherboard, and the problem is on the bios level. (Headphones of choice? Audiophile myself)

Using sennheiser at mo, standard 50mm drivers. I've broken my good pair and my favourite DJ store has closed down :( I'll see if i can fix them, just a bit of soldering. just posted one of my mixes on podcast :) http://liam-bunny.podomatic.com/entry/2013-04-07T11_54_03-07_00
