I want to connect a USB mic to multiple devices, but not to use it with all of them simultaneously. I'm looking at USB switches, but I'm confused. I thought USB ports functioned as both inputs and outputs, yet I see switches labeled with separate inputs and outputs. I'm not sure which the mic should connect to.

No it goes into the input and it outputs into your devices

Actually, because that is an input switch, rather than an output switch, you would have to use it backwards, with the mic in the port labelled output and the computer/consoles in the different inputs. @Saurvraign either do that, or find a USB switch with multiple outputs and one input and use it properly.
