AIO Coller Help

Some Help with my Project

Upgrading my RIG from FX 8350 to a I7 8700K

wanted to test the Intel Side, :D

so i got a i7 8700K, Z370 AORUS Gaming 7, & some Corsair Vengeance 16GB 3000MHz

Have a corsair graphite 780t case been using for a little while

also made upgrade from my AIO coller to and H100i v2

so am wondering, can this cooler work good on the 8700k how far can i push the processor with this AIO.

end if i want to push to 4.9 or 5.0Ghz -----  witch of these 2 AIO Cooler  will work the best,.???

1. NZXT Kraken X62 RL-KRX62-02 280mm

2. Corsair Hydro Series, H150i PRO

Any little tip would be nice thanks,

PS: also like the YouTube videos learn a lot  ( Peace.. )

You can push relatively high on that cooler however for overclocking a 8700k you really need a delid as that chip runs HOT

CPU: i7 3820@4.3Ghz GPU: Gtx 1060 RAM: 16gb HyperX Fury CASE: S340 Elite Cpu runs nice and hot ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

With delidding, the H100i v2 should already be plenty for ~5ghz.

Here's a good place to start with oc'ing: https://overclocking.guide/gigabyte-z370-overclocking-coffee-lake/

As for delidding, a vice or delidding tool works well.

Can i push to 4.8 or 4.9 with out delid i really dont need the 5ghz only close

real world performance i wont see the deference from 4.8 or 4.9 to 5ghz

Real world difference you won't see much difference between 4.7 and 4.9. Outside of a few higher frames in games

What clock speed are you aiming for and what are you using to stress the system? Temps?

as the guide said use, Prime95 Version 27.9 Build 1

also tested with Aida64 end Intel Extreme Tuning

at 4.7ghz not delid  temp was 83 to 90

after delid 60 75Max.

Going up to 4.9Ghz  temp hit 85c with prime 95 only---- Aida64 75c close to 80c   Intel Extreme Tuning 70 75c

Blender CPU crash Blue or Freeze always

Using SP120 RGB 1500RPM

also tested with another SP120 2500RPM same no difference,

also did push pull same no difference.

What core voltage are you currently using? It could be that you didn't get lucky with the silicon lottery.

Also, make sure that the cooler is as tightly and evenly mounted as possible for the best temps.
