Windows update refuses to install.

On my pc running Windows 10 home 64 bit (Unactivated) the update wont install and I ran the update troubleshooter but it says it can't fix it and I cba asking on the microsoft forums.

Did you just install it and do you have an activation key?

maybe its the update for specific platform   aka intel or amd update

 

amd update dont install on a intel chip n vice versa,  got one that i never could install too but it was amd x64 platform ( am intel )

You can try using WSUS offline see if that will manually install the missing update.

What version of windows 10 do you have?

 

open run command and type winver to find out.
