Posted April 25, 2018 It would be $100 more for the 2600k but I would upgrade in the future to a newer platform rather than z68, I am upgrading my gpu to an 970 from a 650ti for 1080p gaming. Will there be a huge difference in gaming performance? I am limited to a friendly budget , yet I only need to upgrade at this point. I am hesitant on the $300 price tag (cpu+gpu) I would like to just get the GTX970 for $200 for now and then upgrade later Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/920218-2600k-vs-3470s/ Share on other sites
 Posted April 25, 2018 I'd just stick to the 3470s. Base clock might seem low, but the turbo clock isnt that bad. 970 isn't that powerful anyway.
