not a problem. please mark as solved if you feel all questions were answered.

Hey all! So I saw that newegg had a pretty solid deal on these pre-sleeved cables and I thought this would be a good opportunity to spice up my rig. I know I obviously need the cables, a tool for plugging and unplugging the ends into the plastic connectors, but what do I need for connectors? I am having a hard time finding where I could get connectors for my Seasonic Focus Plus. Is it special connectors for the PSU end and then generic connectors for the MOBO/GPU end? I would like to do my 8 pin cpu cable, 24pin mobo, and 8pin gpu cable. Is it as simple as looking up the pin layout, plugging them in each end and that's it? Would it be easier to just make extensions and not deal with the proprietary Seasonic connectors?

Any insight on this is greatly appreciated.

CPU: Intel Core i7 8700k 3.7Ghz MOBO: AsRock Z370 Extreme4

RAM: Corsair Vengeance (4x4) Storage: Crucial MX300 275Gb | WD Blue 1Tb

Monitors: HP 22cwa | BenQ BL2420PT  Cans: ATH-M50x

you will need to carefully remove the psu ends and reuse them. other side is just standard connectors

hmm... I was thinking that might be the case, I just didn't want to risk messing with the stock cables if I didn't have to

a very small 1mm or 0.5mm flat head screwdriver is all you need usually. you just have to bend the pin catch back towards the pin. shouldn't hurt plastic at all.

Okay, good to know, would you still order new generic ends so that the stock cable can stay somewhat together?

honestly that depends on the quality of the current ends. I normally get the 4-pin molex one replaced so that the pin doesn't move around when the wire moves. (tighter fit)

That makes sense, lastly, I'm assuming I will be able to just find the pin layout online?

um same layout you currently have. only remove one end at a time and put in new wires in same pattern. try to keep like colors of all cables being the same color though if you have to change color. i.e. Red=neon black make a chart so you can't forget
