There you go. More expensive. I know it's only $60 or so. But he's on a budget and the 1070 has more room to come down to its MSRP, increasing the price delta.

Well....1080 is much closer to it's msrp of $600

While 1070 is way off it's msrp of $380

 

Getting a $599.99 gtx 1080 is better than getting a $604 gtx 1070
