I like soft cookies but the ones my mother makes end up on the harder side after a day, and I fear for my life if I told her I didn't care for them much.

Soft cookies have a tendency to taste very much like butter, and though I like butter I do not want my cookies tasting like butter. Hard is my choice I don't eat cookies without milk and hard cookies go so well with it.
