I was wrong, my PSU is EVGA 500W B (link) and what newer Ryzen 5s? I only know of the 1600 and 2400G and the 1600 is faster (link)

Also that PSU might not be the best for overclocking:

 Might be fine stock

Isn't an R5 1600 and a 750 ti a bit unbalanced?  Even a 1600 and 1050 ti is a bit light on he GPU side.

I assume he plans on upgrading his CPU first then his GPU. Since getting a GPU first would still mean is old i3 would hold it back.

I want to upgrade my current PC with a new CPU, RAM and motherboard. I am transferring over the GPU, PSU to the new build and I already own a case.

I plan on using the computer for multi-boxing games and would really appreciate your feedback. I am from Canada. Once I get enough money I plan on doubling up on RAM.

450W bronze and GTX 750 TI. I don't have the money to upgrade my GPU right now though.

What is your current CPU and which brand and make is that PSU?

EVGA and Intel Core i3-4330

Is it the EVGA B, B2, etc? It matters as it can be significant as to how far you can push your R5 1600. And speaking of the R5, have you considered getting the newer ones with a compatible board?

For the purpose of the PC it is for multi-boxing on super low settings with 10FPS max on minimized screens so I think it should be good for now. I am planning on upgrading the GPU in the future though (2-3 months)

Do you think changing out the Ryzen 5 1600 for the Ryzen 5 2600 would be worth it? Also, why wouldn't the PSU be able to overclock, does it use that much more power?

Check the article I link to see if it's worth going for or to see which CPU fits you better.

It's a budget PSU really, not made to be pushed like that.

Thanks a lot! I think I'm going to get the Ryzen 5 2600, do you think that's reasonable?

Haven't checked all of the reviews yet particularly compared to the i5 8000s, but I think it's fine based on what I heard.
