Looking for $600 laptop

Somebody has asked me to help them search for a laptop in the ~$600 price range.

It will be used quite casually, not intense gaming or anything of the sort. Mostly multimedia: watching movies, browsing the web, Office, etc.

I've found a laptop that seems like a pretty sweet deal :

Acer Aspire A515, i3-8130U, 256GB SSD, 4GB DDR4 RAM, nvidia MX130, 1080p IPS screen

http://www.cel.ro/laptop-laptopuri/laptop-acer-aspire-5-a515_51g-intel-core-kaby-lake--_40_-8th-gen-_41_--i3_8130u-256gb-ssd-4gb-nvidia-geforce-mx130-2gb-fullhd--pNCs7MzQr-l/

Note: I'm not buying from the US, prices are slightly higher here.

The only thing it could need is another stick of RAM to make it 8GBs, but that can be solved, the laptop is pretty easy to upgrade from what I've read. It also has another free SATA slot for a hard drive in the future maybe. Nevertheless, the upgrade options are more than decent.

Other than that, I've also found a few other models for slightly less (~$50) but with slightly worse specs overall(skylake i3 6006U, TN panel, no dedicated GPU). The price difference is pretty small so I think the first option is better.

I'm looking forward to your suggestions. Thanks.

this is probably a much better buy at that price point with a much better everything besides using an HDD (but its 1tb vs. 256gb space wise)

if you can find this in your country or buy it from here i'd get this

It's more expensive here, almost $800.

And an SSD is definitely a must-have. It makes all the difference.

not really, especially for causal use; i didn't have an SSD till 2015 and i didn't die using my old shitty hand me down mac for causal use (i couldn't game on it for shit outside flash games though :( which is how i got into windows)

also idk what $600 is to you, you can't just say $600 and expect me to know your currency cause that link didn't say $600 either so idk where you're getting $800 from

I didn't have an SSD until a few years ago and I definitely noticed the difference.

And yes, I should have been more clear. I'm not buying in the US, I'm buying in Romania. Prices are on average 20% higher over here.
