They've been shipping with the correct BIOS since January. You'll be fine, and if you aren't just contact AMD and ask for a boot kit.

I think you will have to cancel, or buy a cheap (supported) used CPU on eBay to flash the bios with

Order AMD's bootkit which includes their worst AM4 APU is your best deal. Only Asus Crosshair 6 and 7 support flashing BIOS without CPU.

The new BIOS might be released in January, but it takes a lot longer than that for it to be the BIOS shipped with the product. It just takes time to empty earlier produced boards from the warehouses.

Well the board may have laying in their inventory for who knows how many months. I'm going to contact the store and see if they can update it for me if it's on old bios.

Had never heard of boot kits before that is useful to know.
