Region Locked Games

So a buddy bought a game from cd-keys that was region locked, and assumed he could use a vpn, but it did not work. Any suggestions?

Return it and buy one that is for his region?

Go on vacation to the region, set his region to that place when he’s there and use it. 

 

 

Or go to account settings and google maps, find an address and put it into the information place.

I’m playing iPhone pubg outside Asia. If you find an address and type it in, it works. 

 

You have to change your store. I don’t know if it’ll change your store if you use a vpn and say “set current location to store” but if you go to that country it’ll let you change.

I don't think the OP is trying to buy asian PUBG key for iphone from cd-keys. If it's a steam key, it's been common knowledge that steam has patched the VPN thing. Before you could activate 5 dollar asian csgo keys with a vpn, but now you need the VPN to be on while you start the game too. If you can't refund the game through cd--keys, then you can't get your money back.

Did they try changing the store? If not then they should try it.

yeah using a vpn though is tricky because say you forget to turn it on and you start that game youll get a ban.

No. My account was set to china for by someone in china to buy GTA 5 for 20 USD. I used my account in the new world ever since. I forgot to change the region from China and made several purchases with Chinese region set. 
I never successfully logged into my own account in China.
