First Content/Gaming Pc Build

Hello, Im currently working on my first build and learning a lot. Id like to know your thoughts on the parts list i put together https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Brandon_DS/saved/ksPCyc . I plan on using the system for 3d content creation using programs like modo , blender , maya, keyshot , marvelous designer, photoshop , photo scan Pro, Zbrush and other graphic/cpu intensive programs. I would also like to be able play games like Pub-g , tomb raider , Battlefield games, Far cry ,and racing games like dirt with a good amount of frames preferably at 2k resolution. I plan on running 3 monitors at some point one at 2k and the others at 1080p

Im currently using a 2011 macbook pro that has had gpu problems in the past and isn't cutting it when it comes to working on 3d projects . I am In the US and i like the price its currently at which is $1454.90, Id be willing to spend a little more if its necessary for what i want to use it for. I also have another list thats slightly cheaper  at $1376.81 with a cheaper ssd and different ram that wouldn't look as nice on the exterior but would perform about the same if im correct https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JQ4rV6 . I plan on adding more ram and storage later down the line as well.

Please let me know your thoughts on what i put together , how i can improve it, or if there are any problems with it, Thanks!

Use the stock cooler instead of the added cooler, about the same in performance

Looks good, but i would use the stock cooler.  Also i wouldnt cheap out on the Storage, as all your important stuff is on there and the cheap stuff fails faster. Also if you don't do those stuffs as a hobby, but as a job i would get some sort of backup, for example run a raid 1 or a hdd as a backup. You can't explain to a client that your storage failed, because deadlines are deadlines.

I'd increase your storage. Getting something like a 4-6TB HDD for the raw files on whatever you're working on will be a godsend. Especially if you plan on having more than one or two games installed.

If i do go with the meshify c the case specs says the max gpu length is 315mm and that 1080 is 312mm isnt that tight? I want to buy two more case fans and im not sure if there would be enough space to fit them up front , which is why i was looking at the NZXT s340 e with max gpu length of 364mm. I also really like the look of it , is its cooling that bad? Thanks for all the help btw

Not sure why everyone is recommending the 2600x.  The 2600 is the same processor and it cost s 30 dollars less. You could use that money for a bigger SSD.  Also, the G. Skill sniper X 3600 is a better value for RAM.

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.

You could always go with a smaller 1080 if it bothers you, such as the Asus Rog Strix, Gigabyte G1 or one of the various EVGA models as they are all dual fan so come in at around 260mm or so.

**Do you already own the 1070 ti in your initial post ? If so then no reason to change it for a 1080**

I was concerned about fitting the graphics card in there with a front fan but the case specification was 315mm with the front fan so it might be tight but it should fit. Than i finally decided to go with the Meshify C , i was really torn because the s340 elite looks so good but ill get over it lol.

Other than that this is what its at https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Brandon_DS/saved/Qg7VYJ

I changed the case to the meshify C and added two120mm fans that has an airflow of 51.4-87 CFM for only 8.99Ea. If every thing Looks Good than ill see what parts i can buy locally and start ordering the rest tomorow!

One last thing , Comparing the 1080 and 1070 ti https://www.extremetech.com/gaming/258357-nvidias-new-gtx-1070-ti-neatly-splits-difference-gtx-1070-1080 what would you choose considering the 1080 is now $100 more for slightly better performance? I know its a personal preference thing but would choose the msi 1080 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137084&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker, LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID= or would it be a good idea to just save $100 and this https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814932013&cm_re=1070_ti-_-14-932-013-_-Product  .  Please let me know your thoughts i would greatly appreciate it!

I would change this. SSD Plus is mediocre at best. Meanwhile, MX500 is $3 more but way better. I agree with everything else.
