So my linksys router that got probaly 4 years ago has been acting up recently dropping ever few mins and I was thinking of getting a new one. I was researching the netgear nighthawk pro gaming router and it seemed like a good router with good reviews. I need a router that can be fast with a low ping and can handle many wireless devices at once. Is this router the right router for what I need?

I never bought into the 'gaming' gimmick for routers. Figure if you're a gamer then you're hard wired. I've had 2 routers in 10 years. 1 was a Netgear that faded 3 years ago. Now I have a TP-Link Archer AC1750 I bought on sale for $80. Ranch home that's 2k sq ft. Never had a issue with it. 3 phones, 1 tablet, 1 steam link, and 3 rokus. Reaches all areas of the home and outside on the deck. Those 'gaming' routers just seem over priced. Do you game wirelessly?

no, higher end "gaming" whatever the fuck routers just have features you don't need.  Example: who needs 3 5Ghz SSID's?  Any and all routers will work fine and have similar performance.

Workstation:  9800X3D|| Asus X670E ProArt Creator || MSI Gaming Trio 4090 Shunt || T.Force 7800CL34 || Corsair AX1600i@240V || whole-house loop.

LANRig/GuestGamingBox: 13700K @ Stock || MSI Z690 DDR4 || ASUS TUF 3090 650W shunt || Corsair SF600 || CPU+GPU watercooled 280 rad pull only || whole-house loop.

Server Router (Untangle): 13600k @ P-Core only || ASRock Z690 ITX || All 10Gbe || 2x8GB 3200 || PicoPSU 150W 24pin + AX1200i on CPU|| whole-house loop

Server Compute/Storage: 10850K @ 5.1Ghz || Gigabyte Z490 Ultra || EVGA FTW3 3090 1000W || LSI 9280i-24 port || 4TB Samsung 860 Evo, 5x10TB Seagate Enterprise Raid 6, 4x8TB Seagate Archive Backup ||  whole-house loop.

Laptop: HP Elitebook 840 G8 (Intel 1185G7) + 4070 RTX Thunderbolt Dock, Razer Blade Stealth 13" 2017 (Intel 8550U)

Do you recommend any router that is will be good for many devices but at the same time provide me and my brother with good ping for gaming experience

Ideally you should run ethernet to all your gaming machines, even if it's inconvenient.  Wifi suffers from higher latency and jitter (variable latency) that you can't do much for.

It's a mid tier router but Synology is sooooo much better on the management software than anyone else.
