Anything is possible, but whether you have the chops to pull it off is another story entirely. I'd say in general this is highly unlikely to work

Unlikely. When there's a hardware change usually you have to call Microsoft and tell them that you had to replace it due to failure.

That's why OEM Windows isn't always the best one to get.
