ps2 to usb adapter isnt working

hardtofindinthefuture

I have a old, well sort of old like 2006 era PS2 keyboard and i bought a ps2 to usb adapter and the thing is, it doesn't work, when i plug it in windows doesn't recognize it and it just doesn't work.

Is there anything i can do?

is there a computer with PS/2 ports that you can test the keyboard on to make sure the keyboard itself is working?

cant beat 3 bucks... but, heres the thing. If it's not working why bang your head against the wall over a 3$ ps2-usb adapter and just go buy a cheap usb mouse for now or get a decent one. I mean who are any of us to honestly tell you what to do its just an opinion to be honest i hate when i cant get things to work and i hate spending money more than once. Only thing I can think of is maybe you have it plugged into a USB3.0 port is the tip blue and the port blue or red that your plugging into? sometimes that will make things not work.
