Graphics card decision help.

Hey guys. I'm kinda new at the whole PC building/upgrading thing and I had a question. I have an msi fm2-a75ma-e35, with an AMD A4 APU. Which graphics cards (preferably inexpensive) would go/work well with my setup?

Wow. Thanks for all the super quick replies guys. I don't really need THAT monstrous of a graphic card. Basically something that i can upgrade my PC to Windows 8.1 (from 8) on, and that can play slightly-more-intensive-than-flight-simulator games pretty solidly.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Linus say that a 260X is a horrible buy?

Nevertheless, I would personally try to save up and get a R9 270.

Yes, but if someone has a set budget and can't do another route, the 260x actually does have decent benchmarks. Granted, the 270 is better, but the 270x is better than a 270, and a 280x is better than a 270x and a 290 is better than a 280x... See my point lol

R9 270 at least. 180 bucks. This will put you past the video card they have on the next gen consoles and it should get a nice bump in performance from mantle later on. The MSI one overclocks like a beast and stays quiet. Past that? The damned bitcoin miners done f'd it all up for everyone. Prices are weird, stock is non existent or marked up way higher then it should be. Nvidia becomes a good option, where they weren't before.

We are going to be very GPU bound on all the new games. You don't want to spend 100-150 bucks on something that is junk. If you can't afford a r9 270 now? Wait a few weeks. You will be a lot happier down the road. Past that? Like I said it is weird. the 280 was great at 299.99, but you can't buy em. The Nvidia 760 is falling in price and not bad at the price anymore, they they have several open box at my local microcenter for like 210.00. The higher end is FUBAR with ref coolers that suck and the new cards instantly being sold out to damned bitcoin miners. I am about to go Nvidia at this point and say the hell with it.

When you ask these types of questions it would be nice to have a budget to work with. Look in to a r7 260x, r9 270x or a GTX 760( i would go with the AMD solutions rather than the Nvidia i suggested but variety is always a good thing.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.
