Hi my name is colby and I recently bought parts to build my first computer and had a friend come over and help. Everything went well except for a problem with the cpu or motherboard. We turned it on but there was no display on the monitor. I was wondering if you anybody could answer a question or two I had about it because I've been waiting a long time to do this and it didn't go well.

Welcome Colby! To better help you, please list down the parts you've used. Also, have you made sure that you have all the basic requirements (CPU, motherboard, RAM, PSU, GPU [depending if you chip has integrated graphics and your board supports it])? Is everything connected properly and all the necessary power connections are connected securely (24-ATX, 4/8 CPU Power, [6/8 pin PCI-e for GPUs])?
