Cleaning with a vacuum?

This may seem like a stupid question and i think i remember someone saying don't do it but i cant remember. If i turn my PC off, turn off the power supply as well, even unplug it from the wall, can use a vacuum to clean my 120mm fans? Not the motherboard and CPU and GPU shit but just the fans, even when they are still screwed into the PC. Thanks.

Don't clean with a Vaccum. That's how you kill your PC use compressed air

You should be fine cleaning just the fans. But stick to compressed air for the rest of the components.

Its rather ineffective way to clean fans. It can suck fresh, floaty dust out. But fans are usually covered with more sticky layer and you'd need industrial grade vacuum to clean those.
