Hey guys, I'm fairly new to computer building, and around 3-4 years ago, my brother built a computer with me, I helped with the setting up, but he knew what all the parts were and how the work, I didn´t and don´t.
I'm sure most of you know many possible upgrades to my parts, so, could you help me out to get the most bang for my buck?

Processor: AMD FX 6300 Six Core Processor 3.50GHz

RAM: 8.00GB

64-bit operating system

Power Supply: Corsair CX 500M

Disc: Seagate Barracuda 1000GB

MotherBoard M5A78L-M/USB3

Thank you!

There is no GPU yet? Maybe do that first. Other than that the CPU is quite old a could benefit from an upgrade but that would mean a lot more work than a GPU add in

What is the system used for?

If its for work get a new motherboard and CPU, recommend a Ryzen 3 2200G or Ryzen 5 2400G

If its for light to medium 1080p gaming get a new motherboard, Ryzen 3 1200, and GTX 1050 (or TI if you need it )

He needs a GPU for it to work, FX chips didn't integrate one.

The 2400G can handle light to medium 1080p gaming.

GPU: AMD Radeon R7 200 Series

Is the motherboard the best thing to upgrade right now, then?
Everything is old, and I'm running into issues sometimes with it as well.

Motherboard and CPU, they have to go together, also whats your budget
