So I want to change my Dual-Core CPU to a Quad-Core CPU.

As you can see from the photos , my CPU is kind of old... it's from 2005...

I want to change it to a : AMD Phenom X4-9650

Also I checked every processor that is compatible with my motherboard,

The latest CPU I have found was a : AMD ATHLON X2 6000+

I just want a quadcore cpu...Can I do that? Or not?

It might be possible with the appropriate BIOS updates. But, because it's an OEM board, it's very unlikely HP ever gave it support for AM2+ Phenom CPUs. The official documentation I can find only mentions Athlon dual cores and Sempron.

AM2+ chips are backwards compatible with AM2 boards, but only if the manufacturer has released BIOS updates to do so.

Thanks for the answer, I was asking everywhere but no one responded!
