Okay...so I've got a question about AMD's previous generation of GPUs vs the new generation.

The question is as follows:

What are the equivalent AMD R series of GPUs to the Radeon HD series?

The reason I ask this is because several professional reviewers as well as several members on here have commented that several previous Radeon HD series GPUs are equivalent in performance to some of the new R series of GPUs, so I'm curious as to what they are exactly.

I hope that is clear enough to understand. Thanks in advance for any help guys.

270x= 7870Ghz edition

280x= 7970Ghz edition

The only real new GPU's are the 290 and 290x cards, the rest of the line up are either rebrands of 7xxx cards or ever so slightly modified 7xxx cards :)

Ah, thanks mate!

Thanks guys.

Okay, so my comment was a bit of a pick at AMD's naming of Mantle but surely they could've picked a better name.
