Cell Phone Message

I just got an automated phone message left on my voicemail stating the prosecution has filed criminal charges for tax fraud. No mention of where the prosecution, USA, Ottawa, Nigeria.

The words Criminal Charges made my mind skip a millisecond. I can imagine how well it would work on people who dont know any better. Maybe I gotta pay them in Amazon Gift Cards. Deleted the message, but once I did I thought of all the ways I could play with them. I do have a # I could call from a pay phone and the gag would be. My name is Bill Smith, I know I owe money on taxes, I am scared, please I dont want to go to prison, how much do I owe and how do I pay. Then the other heavily accented person states Gift Cards, I say no I only have thousands of doghairs in cash, I would like to meet in person at the food court.

What would your guys' gag be on them?

The house number gets a duct cleaning company calling every day. I have come up with a plan to google map an address so far out of town, but gated. Say I have 3500sq ft bungalow that I need carpet cleaning in two days before I leave for Florida. I think that would work very well. However I think they'd just sell the info and # to furnace cleaners and roofers, then we'd get more and more calls.

There has got to be a residential telephone line solution to the telemarketer problem. And I think I have come up with a solution. A residential PBX system where you tell your family and friends and anyone else you trust, to give them Extension 22 where it would ring the house. All other attempts go to voice mail after 5 rings.

I've been getting a quite a few calls from numbers that are probably scammers. I've been watching The Hoax Hotel on YouTube a lot lately and he's provided a lot of examples I could use to mess with those low-life scammers.

I'd go through most of the shady process. In the end, I'd say my "password/receipt number" as a curse word in their native language based on their obvious accent. Would definitely learn words in Hindi.

My roommate called them back. After a few confused minutes of the guy saying that he was the one that had called my roommate, he got frustrated and started yelling never to call that number again. The call ended with him saying "I'm a mother fucking Starboy!" and hanging up.
