Weird CPU Benchmark

Ok, thanks for your answers! just to make sure I ran geekbench and for single core I got 5247 and for multicore 17425, and on Cinebench R15 I got 920. Is that fine?

sounds about right.

Hello! For quite some time now, whenever I run Userbenchmark my CPU (i7-7700k) there'd be this notice:

Spoiler

Sub-optimal background CPU (11%). High background CPU reduces benchmark accuracy. Find active processes with Windows task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC).

What's odd is on task manager right before starting the benchmark it never goes past 5 percent. Is there something wrong with my processor or is it just userbenchmark? Thanks.

I suspect UBM looks at the utilisation of the CPU as whole and the cores individually whereas the utilisation in task manager only shows the utilisation for the CPU as a whole (unless you go into the performance tab) which means you could have a core completely pinned at 100% in a 4C/4T CPU but task manager only says 25% utilisation.

In other words, its not really UBM or your CPU or task manager and its probably not soethng you need to worry about.

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...
